My model in
Etabs is OK and I exported it to safe in order to make the
Slab design.
2 options had been studied:
option 1 export the
Slab without assigning diafragm in etabs.
option 2 export the
Slab after assigning diafragnm in etabs.
option 1 presented zero forces and displacement coming
from wind load.
option 2 presented forces and displacement coming
from wind load.
steel reinforcement in option 1 was very low than steel reinforcement in option 2 espacially the area of diafragm centre of gravity.
the steel reinforcement in option 2 seems to be very high at the centre of mass area and it seems to be **t realistic. for 22 cm
Slab thickness, maximum soan of 5m, it gives me 20 mm steel each 7 cm.
what is the right way to do the
Slab design? Please advise
in addition, in the 2 options, punching shear
Design seems to be very high and **t as per manual calculation especially with the corner columns.
Please advise.
