Sol Adler, the
Disgraced Former executive
Director of
92nd Street Y, a historically Jewish community center in New York, was found dead of an apparent suicide at his home in Brooklyn Friday,
according to a report.
Adler, 60, hanged himself, and was discovered by his wife, the
New York Post reported. He helmed 92Y for two decades, reportedly doubling its number of programs and raising $80 million during his tenure. However, Adler was fired in 2012 after an a**nymous letter exposed his affair with Catherine Marto, his personal assistant

The news comes days after Henry Timms, the center's former*deputy executive
Director for in**vation, strategy and content, was
named Adler's successor. He had been serving as interim
Director since Adler was fired, according to the
Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
