The perpetual sadness machine that is
This Is Us has finally built up to the moment its been teasing since early on in the first season: The
death of Jack Pearson.*
And folks, it's not looking good.

All signs have pointed to the fact that everyone's favorite dad Jack died while his kids, a.k.a. The Big Three, were in their late teens, and a few more recent episodes alluded to the fact that he may have died in a house fire. Well, on Tuesday night, this seemed to be solidified given the fact that the episode left us on a cliffhanger where half of the house is on fire thanks to a faulty crockpot. And now we're all steeling ourselves to weep uncontrollably after the Super Bowl on Feb. 4.
