If April showers do in fact bring May flowers, this year's flowers are going to be
awesome in Alabama and Florida, as much as*19 inches of rain fell over 24 hours in some places on Wednesday,*
according to the National Weather Service.
The last day of April also unleashed*torrential
Rains that*washed out bridges and roads in parts of Pennsylvania and Maryland; sinkholes have been springing up all over the Florida panhandle; and downpours of rain
snarled traffic throughout the tri-state area.
