ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa have assured JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to redress his reservations over
FATA reforms, Geo News reported citing the sources.
Fazl held a meeting
with Army Chief and PM Abbasi here Tuesday, where he expressed his reservations over
FATA reforms. The meeting continued for more than one and a half hour and was attended by DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor.
In the meeting, PM Abbasi, General Bajwa and JUI-F leader discussed issues pertaining to Federally Administered Tribal Areas, sources said.
Later, speaking to Geo News, Maulana
Fazl said consultations
with civil leadership will continue on issues related to FATA, however, there is no need to hold further meetings
with military leaders.
