news at 10, a technical glitch left seasoned
presenter Huw Edwards sitting in
silence for four long
minutes in the studio.*
It was a strange and mesmerising experience, a sort of drop of tranquillity in a stormy ocean that is TV news.
Newsreader Edwards expressed all his British aplomb by sitting still Zen-like, scanning his papers and doodling as the studio cameras continued to roll.
The "Breaking News" logo flashed up a total of 11 times during the show, alternating with some images.*
