In an unusual event, a group of Mumbaikars organised a
Funeral procession from Y B Centre, Nariman Point, Mumbai. Mourning the death of
trees axed in the city, a group of Mumbaikars though of this initiative to awaken people and the government about the importance of having
trees in the city, keeping in mind, the adverse effects of deforestation. Soon after the
procession started, policemen from Marine Lines Police station interrupted the
Funeral procession leading to a commotion. The bier was soon taken away by the cops.
