Yes, Australians freaking love Pokémon too.

It's ** wonder they've gone mad for an Australian Pokédex, after pixel art animator Paul Robertson posted his creations on Twitter.

The monsters are local icons given the Pokémon makeover: Take "Pavlover," a monster version of the pavlova dessert; "Uuluruu," obviously named after the country's most famous natural icon, Uluru; "Errwinn," after Steve Irwin; or "Bludioath," which just means, well, "bloody oath."
