Gears of War 4 begins
with a
history lesson.
The game's
20-minute prologue, which you can watch above, winds
through a ****** of playable flashbacks in which players can participate in key moments of the ****** lore. From obtaining the Hammer of Dawn orbital bombardment tech**logy to the Emergence Day arrival of the Locust and their eventual defeat, you'll get a sense of the groundwork that leads into the latest game.
Gears of War 4 comes to PC and Xbox One on Oct. 11.
