bearded environmentalist



NEW YORK —
David Letterman is
coming back to TV, and he is as sunny as ever.
Well, kind of.
The former
Late Show host — succeeded by Stephen Colbert last year on CBS — will host an episode of National Geographic's *
Years of Living Dangerously. The new season of the climate change docu****** debuts Oct. 30.

In the
Letterman episode, which was an**unced in September 2015, the comedian travels to India.
"I'm in ** position to editorialize about solar power or any kind of renewable power,"
Letterman said in the promo. "I've created, excuse the expression, kind of a love affair with this. Think about the coal-fired, dangerous, *****-belching generating plants, and then you look at this and it's friendly. There's something very appealing about this, and it's smooth. Look at it: I can touch it and it's safe. I put my head right there on it."
