faces recite poem about refugee crisis in
powerful video
Cate Blanchett, who is a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, is joined by other actors in
reciting a poem about what basic items refugees take when they are forced to flee their home.*
The poem, entitled "What They Took With Them" was written by Jenifer Toksvig and is inspired by real testimonies from refugees.*
The
powerful video is part of a larger UNHCR campaign, which is asking governments to ensure all
refugee children can go to school, all refugees have a safe place to live and that all refugees can work and contribute to their local community.
