ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Anwar Zaheer Jamali, took suo moto **tice of the Quetta blast incident and issued **tices to several government officials to present themselves on September 20.
According to a **te by the Registrar ******, the
Quetta blast incident had raised some serious questions as far as government was concerned. The **te further said that the bomb
blast was carried out with precision and after thorough planning.
The **tices were issued by the
Chief Justice to IG,
Chief Secretary and Advocate General Balochistan, to present themselves for the hearing of the suo
moto **tice to be held on September 20. The Pakistan Bar Council and former
Chief Justice Ifitkhar Muhammad Chaudhry had written a letter to the
Chief Justice to take the suo
moto **tice.
On August 8, a bomb
blast had struck
Quetta Civil Hospital and claimed the lives of more than seventy people and injured scores of others. Balochistan Bar Association President Bilal Anwar Kasi was shot to death earlier. Numerous lawyers were killed in the attack, who had arrived at the hospital as Kasi's corpse was brought to the hospital.
