LOS ANGELES —
Barb fans, rejoice!
While it may take time to see "
Justice for Barb" in Netflix's
Stranger Things, Shan**n Purser — the
actress behind the fan favorite character — has landed a new role.
Purser will star in at least three episodes of The CW’s
Archie reboot Riverdale as*Ethel Muggs.
The show, developed by Roberto Aguire-Sacasa (
Glee) and executive produced by Greg Berlanti (
The Flash), is slated for a midseason premiere on CW.
Purser's character will reportedly have a crush on Jughead (played by Disney alum Cole Sprouse) *and befriend Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Betty (Lili Reinhart).
