England experienced an extraordinary heatwave this week (it's already over, don't worry) and these teenagers found a genius form of protest against school rules.*
After being punished for wearing
shorts on the hottest day so far this year, four year nine pupils at Brighton's Longhill High School showed up the next day wearing skirts.*
The cheeky pupils opted for the agreed official uniform — a pleated navy skirt — in order to evade school protocol. *
And it worked.*
