****** at Comic-Con peaked in 2010, the year we first saw all of the Avengers onstage, a moment that was more raging rock concert than geek rapture.*
Looking forward to this weekend and beyond, it’s also clear that
****** at Comic-Con will never return to such heights.*

Last year I wrote that the
Hall H starting field
was getting a little thin. Boy was I wrong: Five big hitters in 2015 — Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate, Legendary Pictures and Lucasfilm — made for an embarrassment of riches compared to what we'll get this time around.
