PESHAWAR: A black day was
observed across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
against the
atrocities of the
Indian troops
against the Kashmiri people in the occupied
Kashmir to express solidarity with the people of the scenic valley.
In the provincial capital, several demonstrations were held outside the Peshawar Press Club to mark the day. The main protest was arranged by ‘Al-Badr Mujahideen’. The protesters were holding banners and placards inscribed with anti-India slogans.
The protesters also set the
Indian flag on fire to express anger at India. The protesters also chanted slogans
against India and in support of the people of Kashmir. The speakers on the occasion declared that they would continue to support the freedom struggle in Kashmir.
They said that
Indian soldiers were perpetrating
atrocities against the people of Kashmir. They said that the brutal killing of young freedom fighter Burhan Wani sparked protests across the valley. The protesters said the blood of Burhan Wani infused a new life in the movement for the freedom of Kashmir.
They said that protest rallies across the Indian-held
Kashmir caused anxiety among the
Indian occupation forces. The speakers added that over 50 in**cent people had been killed and hundreds of others injured at the hands of
Indian soldiers.
The workers of the Pakistan Railways also held a protest to condemn the
Indian atrocities. They were holding banners inscribed with slogans showing sympathies with the people of
Kashmir and condemning the
Indian atrocities. Protest rallies were also staged in almost all the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to condemn
Indian barbarism in held Kashmir.
