Swift
Playgrounds aims to
teach kids code in a
highly engaging way

One of the nice surprise introductions at WWDC was
Swift Playgrounds, a new app coming to the iPad and iOS 10 that will help
teach kids (or anyone, really) how to
code with
Swift.*
Apple introduced
Swift at WWDC
back in 2014. A more modern successor to Objective-C (the language most commonly used to
code iOS and Mac apps),
Swift has had tremendous momentum. There are more than 100,000
Swift apps and it’s been called
fastest-growing computer language in history.*
