Islamabad: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has an**unced the results of the National Examination Board Step-I (basic sciences subjects) examination.
A total of 2,120
foreign medical and dental
graduates sat the
exam but 90 per cent of them failed to pass it. Only 207 candidates were declared successful. Fifty-nine candidates remained absent from the examination.
The passing of the NEB
exam is mandatory for
foreign qualified doctors and dentists to practise in the country.The examination was conducted by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University/PIMS, Islamabad, at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad, on June 2.
The
PMDC has uploaded the
exam results on its official website, saying candidates can apply for the rechecking of papers on the prescribed form with the fee within 10 days.
