Twinkie has officially remained untouched and perfectly intact for the past 40 years.

According to ABC News, George Stevens Academy's former Chemistry teacher Roger Bennatti
began the experiment with a curious group of students during a class he taught in 1976.
When Bennatti left the school in 2005, he gave the holy
Twinkie to Dean of Students Libby Rosemeier — who, adorably, was in the chemistry class where Bennatti started the experiment.
