Ishaq Dar stated that the terms of reference for the joint parliamentary committee, which would determine the ToRs for the formation of the judicial commission, would
also include the
clause that investigation should
also be conducted against
written-off loans.
Speaking at an event of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the finance minister said that the terms of reference for the joint parliamentary committee would be issued in a day or two.
Ishaq Dar said that those who used undue political influence to have their loans written off and then live a luxurious life, should
also be apprehended. He said that the point to probe those who had their loans
written-off would
also be included in the terms of reference.
Earlier during the month, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had
also warned that action would be taken against those whose loans had been written off.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had an**unced the formation of a joint parliamentary committee to formulate the terms of reference of the formation of the judicial commission which would investigate the Panama leaks issue. The an**uncement came from PM Sharif after Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali had refused to form a judicial commission as requested by the government. Opposition parties had
also rejected the terms of reference for the formation of the judicial commission.
