ISLAMABAD: State
Minister Engr Muhammad Baligh-Ur-Rehman has been
awarded with an
ho**rary degree of Doctorate PhD by the prestigious
Belarusian university,
Belarusian State Tech**logical University, in Belarus on Friday.
The
ho**rary degree of doctorate has been conferred upon the State
Minister in respect of his immense efforts in the field of education, especially technical and vocational education, says a press statement issued here on Friday.
State
Minister Engr Muhammad Baligh-Ur-Rehman has been on the three days visit to Belarus. He has visited Educational Centers of excellence for Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Tech**logies and Building Tech**logies over there and admired their state of the art facilities.
He has closely observed the National Skills Competition for vocational and technical skills, organized by World Skills Organization, which was the great experience in itself .
“National Skill Competition has given me an insight to further develop the course of technical and vocational training, education in Pakistan,” stated the minister. "A future roadmap of accelerated steps for facilitating Pakistani students along with the students and faculty exchange programs in both the countries were agreed upon in the meetings of State

Among other incentives, a discounted fee structure for Pakistani students was also agreed by the
Belarusian side. The
Minister of State thanked the Government of Belarus and admired their hospitality. He said that both the countries enjoy cordial relationship and we would love to strengthen this bond in near future.
