mother of legendary rapper
Tupac, has died. She was 69.
Shakur reportedly passed on Monday night in her **rthern California home in Sausalito, due to possible cardiac arrest — according to the Marin County Sheriff's department, which tweeted the news out. They responded to a 911 call at 9:34 p.m. local time and took her to the hospital. She was later pro**unced dead at 10:28 p.m.

Shakur was born Alice Faye Williams, but changed her name after joining the Black Panthers in the 1960s. She and fellow BP members were later*
arrested on charges of plotting to blow up department stores and police stations. The charges were eventually dropped, and Shakur gave birth to a son, Tupac Amaru, just
one month after being released from prison.
