Acer is launching a new model called the
Iconia W4 with a zippier CPU and better screen.
The
Acer Iconia W4 launched this week in
India and
Hong Kong. The tablet’s **t available in the US yet, but
Amazon
and*
B&H already have product listings for the new model.
The
Acer Iconia W4 features an 8 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel multitouch display, an Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB to 64GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and WiFi and Bluetooth.
It has a micro HDMI port for connecting an external display, a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera.
Acer says the
tablet should run for up to 8 hours on a charge. The
Acer Iconia W4 weighs about 0.9 pounds.
While the
tablet has the same size and resolution as the
Iconia W3,
Acer says the new model has wide viewing angles — something that certainly wasn’t true of its predecessor.
The
Acer Iconia W4 is expected to sell for around $330 when it
launches in the US.
