TABLE-Israel eco**mic performance index up 0.2 pct in September
 

Oct 28 (Reuters) - Israel's eco**mic performance index, or "S" index, rose 0.2 percent in September compared with a 0.1 percent gain in August, the Bank of Israel said on Tuesday. "The index's rate of growth is more rapid than its growth rate in previous months, when the index was affected by, among other things, the negative ramifications of Operation Protective Edge," the central bank said, referring to Israel's 50-day war in Gaza that ended on Aug. 26.
