http://cdn.medgadget.com/wp-content/...tec-Mozart.pngKubtec X-ray, a company out of Milford, CT, won FDA approval for its MOZART with TomoSpec breast specimen radiography system. Device, the first of its kind, features tomosynthesis tech**logy that aims to provide greater confidence to surgeons excising tumors that*the entire diseased tissue has been *******. The volumetric images are created in one scan without having to reposition the sample within the X-ray chamber. The device can be located outside the surgical ward and results wirelessly transmitted to a PACS for clinicians back in the OR to view once the scan is complete. The process is faster than performing repeated 2D scans at different angles and produces a convenient and easy to analyze image that can be rotated and manipulated like any other 3D scan.
