1,004 smart cameras at border checkpoints
 

Head of the risks department at the Saudi Customs Abdulmuhsen Al-Shenaifi said 1,004 cameras will be installed at customs points along the Kingdom's borders. *He explained that these cameras will be used to document every detail in these checkpoints to enforce security and facilitate customs services. "These cameras will have the ability to read body language which will enforce efforts in monitoring smugglers, and any unusual activities in the customs' internal yards," he said. He said the cameras will also be used to monitor the behavior of employees.
