India seeks Kuwait's help over arrested Indians
 

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS) India has sought Kuwait's assistance over the arrest of some Indian nationals following a brawl in that Gulf nation. "I understand that there was a brawl with nationals of some other countries and that led to a situation where some of the Indian nationals were arrested," Syed Akbaruddin, spokesman of the external affairs ministry, told media here Friday. Our mission in Kuwait has written to the Kuwaiti foreign ministry and sought their assistance in the matter," he said. "We also requested for consular assistance and we will provide consular assistance to any Indian national who needs that." Asked how many Indians have been taken into custody, he put the figure at "anything between a dozen to two dozen".
