Former foreign minister Natwar Singh has claimed that Rahul Gandhi prevailed on Congress president Sonia Gandhi to re**unce the prime ministership in 2004, as he feared she could be killed like his father Rajiv Gandhi. In an exclusive interview with Karan Thapar on Headlines Today, Natwar, once considered to be a 10 Janpath insider, said Rahul gave his mother 24 hours to decline the post and claimed that Suman Dubey, Manmohan Singh and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were witnesses of the meeting.
