Turkey evacuates hundreds of citizens from Libya
 

TRIPOLI, June 24 (Reuters) - Turkey is evacuating hundreds of citizens from Libya after a threat from a renegade general fighting Islamists in the east, Turkey's embassy and airport officials said on Tuesday. Some 420 Turks were flown out from the western city of Misrata on Tuesday, airport spokesman Mohamed Ismail said. Around 140 others would be evacuated from the eastern Labraq airport at midnight, a Turkish embassy official said. (Reporting by Ahmed Elumami; Editing by Alison Williams)
