Jurassic World 3 stars celebrate beginning of production with coordinated Instagram p
 

The stars of Jurassic World: Dominion have celebrated the beginning of production over on social media.

Reposting director Colin Trevorrow’s clapperboard announcement, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, recent Oscar-winner Laura Dern and Chris Pratt are raring to go as this trilogy-closer fires up the cameras.

“And so it begins. Welcome to Jurassic World: Dominion âپ£#JurassicWorldDominion #HoldOntoYourButts,” wrote Dallas Howard, while Neill captioned the image on Twitter: “Here we go ! #colintrevorrow at the wheel, and we are turbocharged …. [sic].”

Meanwhile, Dern simply teased: “Shall we? #JurassicWorldDominion” on Instagram.

During the movie’s development, Trevorrow explained his reasons for bringing back the aforementioned franchise legends, alongside Jess Goldblum.

“The next film allows the legacy characters to be a part of the story in an organic way. [Jurassic World: Dominion screenwriter] Emily Carmichael and I call it Jurassic Park IV, because it is.

“The challenge is to make sure they don’t feel like caricatures or parodies of themselves. They’re so iconic, you can easily fall into that trap…. Ultimately it will be in collaboration with the actors. They know and love these characters. We’ll do it together”, he added.

It looks like their return is set to go down well with co-stars as well as fans, with Chris Pratt recently reacting to the news, tweeting: “It’s finally happening. Get ready for what is absolutely without a doubt going to be the biggest, baddest and best, movie of the franchise. #WeSparedNoExpense”.

Jurassic World: Dominion has a release date of June 11, 2021.
