Fantastic Beasts? Jude Law reprising Dumbledore role for new Harry Potter audiobook
 

Fantastic Beasts star Jude Law is reprising his role as Albus Dumbledore to bring another Harry Potter story to life on audiobook.

Law will be part of an all-star cast who’ve come together to record The Tales of Beedle the Bard â?? JK Rowling’s book of children’s stories â??for <em/>the first time in audio form.<em/>

The news was announced by Luna Lovegood actress Evanna Lynch, who will read ‘The Fountain of Fair Fortune’.

In an Instagram post, Evanna shared: “As a purist Potterhead and truthfully a bit of a book snob, I tend to regard J.K.R’s writing as something akin to sacred text and I had to have a little sit down when they asked me to be involved with this project.”

The Tales of Beedle the Bard were first referenced in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as fairytales the wizarding children read while growing up.

Within the fairytale collection was ‘The Tale of the Three Brothers’, which taught Harry the origin story of the Deathly Hallows.

In 2008, J.K. Rowling released the collection of short stories for charity.

In the audiobook, Law as Dumbledore will be reading his character’s wise and whimsical notes for each tale.

Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy, will narrate ‘The Warlock’s Hairy Heart’,while his Harry Potter co-star Warwick Davis (Professor Filius Flitwick) is reading ‘The Wizard and the Hopping Pot’.

Bonnie Wright (aka Ginny Weasley)takes on ‘Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump’,and Sally Mortemore (Madame Pince) will provide JK Rowling’s introduction.

Meanwhile, Noma Dumezweni, who played Hermione Granger in the original West End and Broadway runs of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,will read ‘<em/>The Tale of the Three Brothers’.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard will be released on March 31 and the audiobook is available for pre-order through Amazon.
