KP Bar to observe strike today
 

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council (KPBC) has announced province-wide strike on Thursday against the statement rejecting. The KB Bar Council gave the call for the strike after a meeting to protest the statement by an official against the conviction of General (r) Parvez Musharraf. The KP Bar Council is of the opinion that the expression of the official is a clear violation of the legal and constitutional provisions and contempt of the superior judiciary, said a statement.“If there are some flaws in the judgment of the Musharraf case, then the law has provided procedure and proper course for agitating such flaws, if any, before the superior judicial forums through appeal, revision or constitutional petition etc,” said the statement issued by Saeed Khan Advocate, vice-chairman of the KPBC and Haq Nawaz Khan Shangla Advocate.The lawyer community is of the opinion that the attitude adopted by the federal government, its ministers, law enforcers and especially the attorney general of Pakistan is also clear proof of the fact that the ruling party has been installed.
