Mustafa Kamal demands mid term elections
KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Thursday said, if the government fails to run the affairs of the country according to its mandate, then the constitution provides for holding of mid-term elections. "The incumbent PTI government is so inept and incompetent that even if they get 50 years in power, would be unable to comprehend the public issues," Kamal said this while talking to media at Hasrat Mohani Library, in Hyderabad. He said the government has failed to stabilise the economy that has turned millions unemployed who are being forced to live below the poverty level. He claimed that a large number of industries have shut down. The government's claim of reduction in the current account deficit has not benefited the people. The PSP leader said inflation is at its highest level of 13% which has shrunk the business activities and the government remains unmoved. He said while unemployment is on the rise, more problems are being created for the people under the garb of operation against encroachments. He took a jibe at the provincial and local governments saying they have no power for the development of city, construction of roads, provision of water and light. In Sindh it has become quite common for the stray dogs to attack people in growing numbers and many children have passed away in agony but the provincial government says they cannot handle the issue, the PSP chief added.Kamal said one and a half years after joining the federal cabinet the MQM ministers have suddenly woken upto the issue of problems during the census. What is the purpose of being an ally of the federal cabinet and participating in the cabinet meetings if the MQM cannot even get this issue addressed. He said the PSP had been raising concerns on the outcome of the last census from day one.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/com/cwEr/~4/yzyJO4Oz4Xs
