White balance is one of my favorite settings and there are two reasons for that: one is that it helps you set the camera so that you get naturally exposed pictures which is really good, but you can also use that same process to be really creative with your picture taking. This article discusses what white balance is and what the camera is trying to do and then I will go through the preset white balances - the options that the camera gives you that you can set, should you wish - and then I will have a look at setting your own D3400 white balance and how creative that can be and how it can help you to manage your environment.
