Pai Gow Poker Is an Americanized casino game version of the original ancient Chinese game known as Pai Gow. First developed in California Card Rooms in the 1980's, this American table game uses a standard 52 deck of playing cards plus one Joker. Poker hand rankings determine the win/loss hands against a house dealer. The game's acceptance quickly spread to casinos everywhere, although the original game of Pai Gow, played with tiles that resemble dominos, is still very popular in casinos that cater to Asian players.
