No one has a magic wand but people to get relief soon: Tareen
 

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Jehangir Khan Tareen has said that no one has a magic wand who can set all things right by waving it.However, he expressed his hope that people would get relief soon as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was making sincere efforts in this regard.Talking to the media after attending a meeting of the Cotton Crop Management Group here on Friday, Tareen said one-year time was not sufficient to resolve all issues facing people. He hoped that inflation rate would reduce soon in the county, external debt would be settled and the public would be provided relief.He admitted that there was no economic stability in the country at the moment. To a question, he did not deny his differences with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, though he termed the differences an internal matter and refused to comment on them. He said all opposition parties were trying to reach consensus (on anti-government movement), but had failed so far in that regard. Earlier, addressing the Cotton Crop Management consultation meeting, he said he was attending the event on special invitation of Punjab Agriculture Minister Nauman Langrial. He said the past governments did not pay due attention to uplift of agriculture sector, but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was devoting its energies for welfare of the public, and it was committed to uplift of masses.He said the cotton policy had been very poor in the past and the previous governments did not care about the precious crop. He said there is good news for cotton growers as they would receive international rates of their commodity this year.Tareen said the incumbent government was procuring four million metric tonnes of wheat this year, while the past governments used to procure only three million metric tonnes every year.The PTI leader said the government has planned export of wheat through Torkham border and it would keep it open for additional four hours daily for export of the commodity.He said a number of meetings had been held with the agriculture officials for distribution of empty wheat bags for purchase of the commodity by the government.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/com/cwEr/~4/Xn4jZxzZx00
