Havaldar Abdul Rab laid to rest in Taunsa Sharif
 

Ag APPDERA GHAZI KHAN: Funeral prayers for martyred Havaldar Abdul Rab Sial were offered on Sunday at his native village Nutkani, Tehsil Taunsa Shareef. Despite rainy weather, hundreds of people including army officials attended the funeral. The deceased is survived by a widow and two daughters.Funeral prayers for another martyr Khurram Ali would be offered today (Monday) morning at Dera Ghazi Khan as his elder brother Rameez Ali, who is also serving the Pak Army at Siachin, is likely to arrive today. Khurram Ali was a resident of Block 42, DG Khan.President Dr Arif Alvi on Sunday telephoned the grieved families of three personnel of the Pakistan Army -- Sepoy Ghulam Hussain, Havaldar Abdul Rab and Naik Khurram Ali. The president said the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for the country would be remembered forever, said a President House statement.He said the nation owed to the martyrs for their sacrifices and prayed for peace of the departed souls and courage for the bereaved families to bear the loss with fortitude. He lauded the high morale of the families of the martyrs and resolved that the whole nation was alert to safeguard their homeland.Meanwhile, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shah Mahmood Qureshi while paying tribute to the security forces personnel martyred in Indian firing at the Line of Control (LoC), said with their supreme sacrifices they safeguard our future.In a statement on twitter, the foreign minister said Shaheed Havaldar Abdul Rab and Shaheed Naik Khurram laid down their lives defending civilians along the LoC. The foreign minister also shared pictures of both the martyred soldiers.
