MKR?s ?perfect strangers? experiment ends with a whimper not a bang
“We were allowed to talk at the table but we weren’t allowed to talk away from the table,” Borkovic said. “We were put on the bus on different seats. We were put in different hotel rooms. No phone calls, nothing. It was really tough.
“Everyone else was in their rooms practising. We didn’t do that. It was a good concept, but they could have made it easier for us.” Borkovic said she accepts the additional challenges she and her former teammateآ*had to overcome made for good television. However, if she had her time again she would have gone on reality TV with her sister to “rock some Serbian food”. “It doesn’t look great, but it tastes delicious,” she said. “Put an eye patch on and you’ll be right.” While the “perfect strangers” live in separate states,آ*Borkovic said she and Hams stay in touch. The pair hope to catch up in person later this year in Melbourne for the city’s fashion week. For her part, Hams said competing onآ*MKRآ*with a complete stranger was a “unique experience”. “I really rushed Karolina during the plating of our entree during our instant restaurant,” she said. “It was a disaster and I take full responsibility for that. “I was so conscious of the pork balls getting drier and drier as they sat and cooked more. I pushed ahead and that flustered Karolina. If I had my time again, I’d take a breath and give Karolina more time.” However, the recruitment specialist said she still has fond memories of her time on the show. She did, after all, aspire to be on MKRآ*for a long time (having applied and been knocked back several times over the years). <span class="_2wzgv D5idv _3lVFK">Loading “I’m really proud of the fact that, for the most part, we’ve shown that two strong women that do have vast differences can support each other,” Hams said. “We didn’t need to tear each other down during the process.” Tuesday night’s eliminationآ*â?? the first for team twoآ*â?? means there are still 14 teams left in the competition. Now that the instant restaurant round is over, there will be a string of challenges pitting team one and two against one another, followed by more eliminations to whittle down the numbers. My Kitchen Rules airs on the Seven Network on Sundays through to Wednesdays from 7pm.آ* Broede Carmody is an entertainment reporter at The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald Most Viewed in Entertainment <span class="_2wzgv D5idv _3lVFK">Loading Source link More |
