Only one city is healthier than Seattle, according to new WalletHub study

Thanks to our green spaces and access to healthy food and fitness options, Seattle is the second-most healthy city in the United States.



When cities don’t provide such spaces, it can be hard to live a healthy lifestyle, WalletHub states in its recent study of healthy and unhealthy cities. So, the financial analysis website examined 42 indicators of good health across 174 of the country’s most populated cities.






In addition to its high rankings, Seattle was also ranked first for the highest percentage of physically active adults.

The only city to top Seattle was San Francisco, with slightly higher green space, food and health care rankings. Four of the top five cities are located on the west coast.
