Barbara Walters' retirement from The View was barely underway when ABC called her back to sit down with Peter Rodger, the father of Santa Barbara shooting suspect Elliot Rodger, who requested that the decorated newswoman interview him for an upcoming special edition of 20/20.

Peter Rodger, a prolific commercials helmer and second-unit director on The Hunger Games, will talk with Walters in California some time in the coming weeks, ABC an**unced Monday. His son Elliot Rodger killed six people and injured 13 near the University of California, Santa Barbara, before turning the gun on himself last month. Read more...
