Electric Fencing and Escapee
I am having real problems keeping my 2-year old in a field! He is currently in paddocks separated by electric fencing - I have just had to buy a stronger battery and energizer after he broke into next door's field through the electric. Once that was on and he couldn't get through, he turned his attention to the other side - normally they have their electric up full, but the battery had drained so he could get through to the grass they were preserving - they were not happy! Hopefully, they have now replaced their battery. He gets hay in the field and fed at night (balancer and chaff). He used to be turned out with a pony, but the pony has been on box rest for a few weeks so has been on his own with horses either side.I have moved him to another field today which has another horse in it and filled up the hay box to the brim, there is a little more grass in this field - I just feel so on edge at the thought of getting to the yard today to find him out of the field and in someone else's.Any tips for keeping him in - or for extra strong energizers/batteries? Please? Before I get chucked off the yard!?
