The device slips onto a traditional inhaler and detects when the inhaler is used, sounding alarms to remind to take medication, and keeping a record of compliance.

A touchscreen on the front is used to set the schedule of reminders, as well as display its history of use, and*change the alarm ringtones. Wireless connectivity allows the SmartTouch to dump its data to a smartphone or tablet and onward to a patient’s healthcare provider for further review.
