The Supreme Court has declined to hear the appeal for a conviction that was the center of the Netflix series Making a Murderer, the Washington Post reports.*

As covered on the docu-series, 17-year-old Brendan Dassey was found guilty of sexual assault and first-degree murder after he allegedly assisted his uncle, Steven Avery, in the rape and murder of Teresa Halbach. *

Dassey was tried as an adult and sentenced to life in prison. Though no physical evidence linked him to the crimes, Dassey admitted to police in 2005 that he helped. *In 2016, the conviction was overturned after a judge determined that Dassey's confession was coerced by police.* Read more...
