Can you ever un-see it?
 

On Saturday morning a horse at the yard suffered a tragic accident in the field - sadly right in front of me. He was galloping round, and it was early so the grass was dewy. I'd gone into the field to catch him to stop him from hurting himself and he turned a corner to tight, slipped over and sadly snapped his near fore. He laid down for a few minutes then had a rush of adrenalin, reared up, tried to canter a few strides but then realized he was unable too. I popped his head collar on put he stood very quietly from then on waiting for the vet. It was the most awful thing I've ever seen, and after having and working with horses since I was three years old, this is the first time I've witnessed such an awful accident. His poor owner was also there (they were turning out two horses and one had got loose so they'd gone to catch the loose horse) and she was so so upset, as you'd expect. Do you ever un-see something like this? It's replaying over in my head and it's awful.
