Bone scan - likely cost?
 

I'm still having on / off issues with the PSSM mare and the vets want her back for another lameness work-up. This would be work-up number 3 without any solutions, so I think we need to try something new.I can't see the insurance company paying for a bone scan given her exclusions, so can anyone give me a likely idea of cost before I speak to the vets and plead poverty? From what I've read the scan will show hotspots - so presumably the best thing is to keep them in as much work as possible to ensure the problem areas show up??
