New shape wintecs
 

It's probably been asked before but I've done some searching and can't find much. What's everyone's thoughts on the new shape of wintec? I currently have an ideal that I love but I'm looking for something lighter for hacking. I had a wintec 500 about ten years ago an it was good but obviously aimed for a leather and sold it once I got that. So wondering whether I should try for an old model wintec 2000 (suede one) or the newer wintec 500 model? I have seen a really good deal for the latter but don't want to if the older one's are better.
