Itchy dog
 

We have a 10yo mini longhaired dachshund and over the years his coat has got thicker and thicker, to the point he is clipped year round. He's much more energetic with his coat off but he does scratch a lot. We've tried a few things from the vet to no avail. He's bathed after his clip, and I wash him down after going in long grass as the vet suspects some kind of allergy. He's fed on raw, plus occasional eggs and rice, and regular fish in oil to try and improve his skin, which can be a bit scurfy. He gets those horrible red patches in his paws and underarms though and the prescription cream doesn't really help. Anyone have any suggestions?
