Orthofix, a company out of Lewisville, Texas, won FDA clearance and CE Mark approval for the latestآ*PhysioStim bone growth stimulators. PhysioStim devices deliver pulsed electromagnetic fields that are used to repair nonunion fractures within the arms and legs that have not exhibited healing on their own. The resulting electric field that is established at the site of the fractures is what directly stimulates the bone to grow.

What’s new in the latest version of the PhysioStim is connectivity to theآ*STIM onTrack app for iOS devices. Using this app, patients receive reminders, are guided through their therapy regimen, while their physicians can check up on adherence to the prescription.
