Best breastplate?
I'm on the hunt for a breastplate for my mare and would appreciate any advice and experience. It's mainly as a safety measure for hacking, as I've previously had the bad luck to have a saddle slip way back when riding in hills etc. - my horse is a TB, so she doesn't have much body to keep the saddle in place. My experience with the regular 3-point/Y-shaped breastplates is, that should the saddle slip a bit, they push the front of the saddle down, as they are attached so high up, so I've looked at regular 5-point breastplates and also something like this:http://www.passier.com/zubehoer/vord...e/auriga/There are different manufacturers of the second type with some variation to the designs, but they are more or less the same.So what type would you choose and why?
