Anyone had ultrasounds done as part of a 5 stage vetting?
 

As title really... There?s this really nice rising 4yo unbacked, imported straight from the breeder, had only lived out until a couple weeks ago. I?m very interested in him, he would be a competition horse. Anyway, I would get a 5 stage vetting on any horse I get, and I know x-rays are very common to get done, but haven?t heard of many people who get ultrasounds of the tendons & ligaments etc. I was wondering what the price of that would be? I?m quite a paranoid person, after our boy had tendon and degenerative ligament damage, it?s made me superrrr paranoid about every horses ligaments/tendons. I would be thinking of getting the 5 stage, blood test, x-rays & ultrasounds. What do you think the price of that would be? (I know it varys depending on vets etc.)I understand some might think it?s ott to waste that much money for a horse that might not pass, and it doesn?t determine that it won?t get problems in the future, but I think it would be mainly for my peace of mind. Anyone? Thanks :)
